Inclusion Support Worker
The academy is seeking to appoint a highly talented individual to develop Student Nurture Groups within Key Stage Three.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with small groups of young people on improving their social and emotional skills. A key part of the role is to work proactively and preventively to equip children with the interpersonal skills to be successful in mainstream lessons.
The successful applicant will have a high degree of emotional intelligence and an exceptional ability to build and sustain positive relationships with young people in a restorative, fair and caring environment with very high expectations.
Experience of leading small group nurture sessions and working one to one with students is essential as is the ability to work with small groups of children to model positive behaviour.
The successful applicant must have a high degree of personal autonomy and good organisational skills. Session planning and the delivery of sessions is a major part of the role.
Early intervention to support children is crucial in ensuring long term development. A key part of the role is liaising effectively with primary schools. KS2 experience is desirable.
